I couldn’t resist!
I’ve been wanting a Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR macro lens for awhile now and decided to get one, and I’m not disappointed at all. The lens is sharp, even sharper than my favorite 70-200mm f2.8 VR2, and it is a perfect companion for my D800. The Vibration Reduction feature is nice especially at this focal length, but doesn’t work as well in macro mode. Over all, I enjoy using this and it will probably be my favorite lens for awhile, until I’m bored and go back to my 24-70mm f2.8.
