The joy, and pain, of owning a 36 megapixels DSLR
I shoot primarily with a Nikon D800, which produces stunning details at full 36.3 megapixels. It is an impressive technology achievement. I can produce images with stunning details and my clients love it. However, I have to budget in almost every year to buy new hard drives. These files fill up the hard drive space quick. One single uncompressed RAW file is about 80mb and they add up… quick. I wouldn’t have it any other way, though. 🙂
Here’s a screen capture of the current free space situation on my computer. Yes, it looks like I have to purchase a couple of bigger hard drives soon. At least I’m not shooting videos… right? 😀
